To Be Continued…A Jello Faith (Sunday, 10 April 2011)

“J-E-L-L-O…It’s alive!” Do you remember this jingle that first appeared in 1995? Jell-O…it wiggles, it jiggles, it’s “alive!” What was once cow hooves (no lie…look up what gelatin is made from), is now “alive!” In this week’s sermon, we’ll be exploring how things that were once “dead” can now be “alive”–things like Jell-O, dry bones, and our faith. The message is based on Ezekiel 37:1-14. Check it out and then stop by worship to get some Jell-O in a flavor of your choice as we are challenge to live a “Jell-O Faith” proclaiming the Good News to all we meet in an effort to transform our community into one that is alive (not dead). We might even have a visit from a skeleton friend, “Mr. Bones.” Intrigued? Come on out to the Deer Creek Charge and find out what it’s all about! We’re glad you stopped by the website, but this is only part of the journey…take the next step and come join us! You’ll be glad you did!

There’s SOOO much going on around the Deer Creek Charge…make sure to pay attention to all of the new announcements below. Worship Fun Fact!

The Great 3 Days, (called the Triduum), from Holy Thursday through Easter is the climax of Lent and the Christian year and is a bridge to the Easter season. We journey with Jesus through his final day of life, re-live his death, and celebrate the resurrection.
