Ram in the Thicket (Sunday, 26 June 2011)

Have you ever wondered where God is in the midst of life? Have you ever wanted God to swoop down and deliver you from something? Well, that’s what this week’s service is all about…where is God in the midst of almost certain death. Intrigued? Stop by and worship with us this week in person–you are ALWAYS welcome! The scripture for the week is Genesis 22:1-14, the “binding” (sacrifice) of Isaac. Music, fellowship, praise to God…we can’t wait to see you!

Did you bring your faith box back this week? If not, there’s still time to do so! Please bring it back next week. We will be using them in worship over the course of the summer. If you don’t know what a “faith box” is, please see Bonnie for supplies.

NEXT WEEK will be an outdoor service under the trees at Mt. Tabor! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, etc. with you to worship…and spread the word! If the weather is bad or too hot, we will move the service to the sanctuary.

Don’t forget the on-going food drives at both Deer Creek andMt.Tabor! Even when we go away for the summer, hunger does not go away. Please remember to bring in your non-perishable items.

Summer camp brochures are available! Friends, Fun, Faith…learn about God in the outdoors while having a fabulous time! Camps for all interests and all ages, including families. Scholarships are available. Talk to Bonnie for details, grab a brochure, or go online to

Worship Fun Fact! Today begins an extended time of “Ordinary Time” in the Church calendar. This time will run from now until Advent, that begins the last Sunday of November. We call it “Ordinary Time” not because it is regular or boring, but rather, because it is numbered using “ordinal” (counting) numbers (1, 2, 3, etc.).
