There’s More to the Story… (Sunday, 18 March 2012)

Have you ever wondered if there is more to a story than you are being told? Do you ever suspect that someone isn’t telling you the full truth? Well, every time we see “John 3:16” flashed at sporting events, on billboards, or stamped on key chains, we should be screaming “THERE’S MORE TO THE STORY!” We like to take this Scripture verse and make it a “stand-alone” verse…what you need to do to be “saved.” But guess what? There’s more to the story than this. There’s more to God than this. There’s more to life than this. There’s more to salvation than this. There’s more. Wondering what that “more” is? Check out this week’s Scripture passage, John 3:14-21 (the allusion in v. 14 is actually from Numbers 21:8-9). Actually, there’s more to the story than this…this week’s passage picks up in the middle of a story. So if you have time, drop back to the beginning of John 3, and read this. Then come out on Sunday and join us as we explore the “more” together. It all starts with love…and in the words of the Beetles, “All you need is love.”

Holy Week Worship Schedules can be found below, or on this separate post (also linked from the home page).
