How Firm a Foundation (Sunday, 10 June 2012)

Thanks for stopping by the Deer Creek Charge! We are glad you are here. This Sunday, we have a guest preacher bringing us the Word of God. His name is Lemuel Dominguez, and he will be preaching on 2 Corinthians 4:13-5:1, with a sermon title of “How Firm a Foundation.” Lemuel (Lem) originally hails from Long Beach, CA. He is a 2nd year MDiv student at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, and will be interning at Community UMC in Crofton, MD starting in the fall. Lem is a “Preacher’s Kid” who has a passion to see the church become all it can be. He is engaged to marry our outgoing pastor, Bonnie.

Come and join us for a fabulous day to remember! If you have questions or concerns during our time of transition, please contact the lay leaders or leave a message at the parsonage. Someone will respond to you as soon as possible. (Or talk with the guest preacher, and they can help make the appropriate connections for you).

Worship Fun Fact! Our worship services follow a basic pattern of worship each week, that is modeled on the ancient synagogue services: entrance, proclamation and response, thanksgiving and communion, sending forth. Can you identify these parts in our service?
