A Pair of Ducks and Abundant Life: Joint Worship Homecoming Service at Mt. Tabor

Join us this Sunday for a combined worship service at Mt. Tabor at 11 (no worship at Deer Creek) to celebrate 149 years of ministry there!

Rev. Ed Heydt, who was an interim pastor at the Deer Creek charge, will be preaching, and there will be lots of special music from Jena Sinha, Alana Carter, and our pianist Jenny Rich.

Please join us AFTER WORSHIP for a time of food, fun and fellowship! All are invited.

Also check out these happenings:

Join us for bible study on Monday mornings at 10 at Deer Creek starting tomorrow! Even if you can’t make it every Monday, we’d love to have you whenever you are free! We’ll be looking at the story of David and Goliath, using Max Lucado’s Facing Your Giants.

Help feed the Homeless at the Day Shelter (New Hope UMC, Edgewood) on the 3rd Friday of the month (MT) and 4th Monday of each month (DC). We need folks to make food as well as serve! We meet at the church around 11ish to carpool to Edgewood together. Next: September 21 (MT) and September 24 (DC).

Knit/Crochet No experience needed— will teach! Make scarves for the homeless or prayer shawls. Meets every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at 7pm at Mt. Tabor. Next Meeting: September 28.

Aaron and Shannon would like to thank everyone who “pounded” them last week. They loved showing off the parsonage and were so thankful for your generosity stocking their pantry! And it was a blessing to get together!
