Give Us Light, Guide Our Feet

This Sunday, and for the three following weeks, we will be celebrating Advent, the beginning of the Christian year in which we prepare for the coming of Christ. Our scripture

is Luke 1:67-79, which follows the birth of John the Baptist. John’s father, Zechariah, was prophesying how his son would prepare the way for Jesus. He proclaims: “By the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet in the way of peace.”

At Deer Creek, we are beginning with a celebration of this new year, and after worship you are invited to join us for a time of food and fellowship as we decorate the church for Christmas! At Mt. Tabor, we are having a hanging of the greens service! Join us in the celebration!
